Mental focus happens!
As a card carrying member of the busy mind club, I can say that mental focus is possible!
There are many different theories and approaches that promise to improve mental focus. There are mental focus drugs, mental focus supplements, mental focus vitamins, and mental focus exercises! With so many choices, how do you find that one mental focus technique that will work for you?
The joy of wondering
Wondering is a form of focus.
Here are a couple things to wonder about:
- Mental focus is a quality of the mind – where is your mind?
- How much does your mind weigh?
- What is the shape of your mind?
I like to walk and wonder about these questions.
These questions, and the answers they instigate, create the context for my practice of mental focus. I’m always much better at mental focus after I have some movement. I go for a walk, a bike ride, do some gentle stretching, or weed the garden. I move, I wonder, and then I enjoy a little mental focus.

Inch by inch
It has taken me awhile to realize that my challenge with mental focus points to the benefits I stand to gain from practicing mental focus exercises. A little at a time, I make my way, awkwardly along the path to improved mental focus.
